Setting up your XML

Setting up your factory is the first step to retrieving and using the Cruise Factory XML data. This section will help you to get started and have your factory ready for XML retrieval.

If you're not new to the Cruise Factory administration area and already know how to use it you may go straight to the Secure key & Updating recipient IP address section, although if you're new or need a refresher continue reading to learn how.

Accessing your factory admininstration

Firstly, you'll need to log into the administration area for your factory. You will use your favourite browser to access the administration pages of your factory administration, the URL to access your factory administration area will be something like the below:

http://my.factory-address.net/[factory|seller]admin/

For example, if your factory's name is “yourfactory” and you use it as a sub domain of cruisefactory.net (instead of using your own domain), and you are using a standard factory instead of a seller factory the address would look like this:

Secure key & Updating recipient IP address

After logging in to your factory administration area and click on the “Factory Details” or “Booking E-mail” link at the top of the page to access your factory's details, you will find the below form:

You should see two fields, “Recipient IP Address” & “Secure Key”. These two fields are needed to access the XML data from our servers. Firstly, enter the IP address of the workstation or server you'll be accessing the XML data from in the “Recipient IP Address” field and click the “update” button. Secondly, the Secure Key is used as part of the URL to access the XML and should be saved (it will never change).
